This is the 7th year of the Hair of the Dog Extravaganza. It has always been scheduled the Saturday after St. Patrick's Day-- with the name being a play on having "the hair of the dog that bit you" to cure a hangover. This year we have to push things back due to scheduling issues, so even though it is not on the heels of St. Patrick’s Day we are keeping the name and the infusion of Irish in dance and song in the event (some things work all year ‘round). Interest in the event last year was unprecedented, and the creators of the show are hoping to outdo themselves once again in 2016.  Tim, a national touring musician and Moira, founder of the Sheeaun Academy of Irish Dance, have put together a show each year since 2010 that brings together the vast range of talent among their friends and family and showcases some of the best talent Fairfield County has to offer.

The "Hair of the Dog Extravaganza" is essentially a variety show with diversity that is hard to describe. It is definitely for all ages and everyone who has ever attended loves it and comes back each year. The show contains some of the finest Connecticut musicians, singers, dancers and performers. Expect excellent music, dancing, and exciting theatrical performances-- often with an Irish touch, always with a creative twist.

This combination of diverse talent comes together to create a show that is like nothing you've ever seen before. When the various performing groups collaborate on stage to share their artistic forms the unique aspects of the show come to life. This is an event not to be missed.
